Does steam cleaning make my carpet soil faster?

AJS Carpet Cleaning, Inc.uses a propriety chemical formulation that leaves no soapy residue in the carpet. Re-soiling is caused when high pH soap or oily residues which attract dirt, are left in the carpet,. Companies that use soap to clean your carpet without completely rinsing it and companies which employ dry-cleaning methods are the most likely to cause this problem.

How long do we have to wait after carpet cleaning before we can walk on the carpet?

It typically takes between 4 and 24 hours for the carpet to dry, depending on room temperature, airflow, humidity, and the type of carpet. Fans or air conditioning systems will help to accelerate drying.

It will be O.K. to walk on your carpet immediately after cleaning, but avoid tracking fresh soil unto it. Shoe slipcovers or a throw rug or towel will be especially effective if placed near entrance ways. Be especially careful when walking from damp, carpeted areas on to non-carpeted areas to avoid slipping.

How long will it take to clean my carpet?

Usually 20-25 minutes per room, depending on how dirty the carpet is, the amount of furniture to be moved, and any necessary spot removal treatments.

Will the cleaning agents used harm my children or pets?

AJS Carpet Cleaners will  use only hypoallergenic, environmentally friendly, approved chemicals.

Do I need to move my furniture before the crew arrives?

We will move most furniture that can be safely moved by a technician who can lift 50 pounds weight. We do not move items such as pianos, electronics, china cabinets, waterbeds, large beds, dressers with mirrors, pool tables, etc. unless this is specifically requested, and this will incur an additional cost. We suggest you remove all small items off the carpet before we arrive.

Do I have to be home while my carpet is being cleaned?

No. We employ only thoroughly trained professionals you can trust. We are fully bonded and insured. However, we recommend that someone be home before we begin cleaning to scope the job and discuss any specific needs or areas of concern regarding the care of your carpet.

How do you guarantee customer satisfaction?

Do you have any tips on carpet maintenance?

  1. Vacuum heavy traffic areas at least two to three times a week, and the rest of your carpet once a week.
  2. Place indoor and outdoor mats at each entrance to reduce the amount of dirt tracked into your home. (Be sure to clean these regularly).
